Criteria

1.   Letter Formation:

a.    Pencil Explorer (1): They're beginning to hold the pencil and make marks. Every scribble is a step forward!

b.    Letter Artist (2): They can form some letters, though they might be a bit wobbly or reversed. Their effort is what counts!

c.    Alphabet Creator (3): Most letters look like they should, with just a few artistic twists. They're really getting there!

d.    Letter Wizard (4): Their letters are clear and well-formed. They're a true wizard with a pencil!

2.   Word Writing:

a.    Word Beginner (1): They're starting to write a few familiar words, even if they're not perfect.

b.    Word Builder (2): They can write some simple words correctly and are keen to try more.

c.    Word Crafter (3): They're confidently writing several words and are curious about new ones.

d.    Word Master (4): They write a variety of words with ease and are always ready to learn more.

3.   Sentence Creation:

a.    Sentence Starter (1): They can write a few words together, even if it doesn’t always make a full sentence.

b.    Sentence Maker (2): They're creating simple sentences, maybe with some creative spelling.

c.    Sentence Developer (3): They write clear simple sentences and are starting to get adventurous with their words.

d.    Sentence Storyteller (4): They're not just writing sentences; they're telling stories with them!

4.   Drawing and Labeling:

a.    Picture Explorer (1): Their drawings start to get labels, even if it's just initial letters or scribbles.

b.    Labeling Artist (2): They're labeling their drawings with words or simple phrases.

c.    Descriptive Drawer (3): Their pictures are well-labeled, telling a story all on their own.

d.    Illustrative Writer (4): Their drawings and labels go hand-in-hand, perfectly describing what’s in their imaginative world.

5.   Creativity and Effort:

a.    Creative Beginner (1): They show interest in writing and drawing, and every bit of effort is celebrated.

b.    Imaginative Explorer (2): They're getting creative with their writing and drawing, expressing their ideas.

c.    Innovative Creator (3): They often come up with unique ways to express their thoughts through words and pictures.

d.    Artistic Storyteller (4): Their creativity shines in their writing and drawing, telling wonderful stories.
